#8 marketing trend for 2007

On his blog Influential Interactive Marketing, Rohit identified the Top 7 Marketing Trends for 2006. His list includes:

  1. Sharing a Corporate Personality
  2. Widget Marketing
  3. Social Media Optimization
  4. AutoTagging and AutoSorting
  5. Human Filtered Search
  6. Contentcasting
  7. Online Identity Shifting

In the spirit of things, I wanted to offer one more trend of 2006.

  • Viral Buttons. These include all of the little buttons and badges to encourage your visitors to bookmark, share, or subscribe to your posts. The bookmark options got so out of control that Dave Shea felt they’ve jumped the shark.
