Dinner with Sean
Yesterday, Christine and I had dinner with Sean and his wife. For dinner we had BBQ chicken, roasted red potatoes, corn, and Hawaiian sweet rolls. For dessert we had homemade ice cream, which they had half a dozen flavors to choose from. I learned a couple of good tips for BBQing chicken breasts:
- Pounding them out with a meat tenderizer really does make it better
- Marinating the chicken with BBQ sauce on one side prevents it from burning while cooking on the unseasoned side first.
- Let the chicken stand for a few minutes before eating because it allows the chicken to retain it’s juices more
- Killing yellow jackets with your flip-flop is harder than you think.
Sean and I met through 9rules after he moved into the area from California (his wife was the one that made the 9rules logo pillow). Since our first lunch we’ve been working together quite a bit and have become great friends. It was nice to see his pad and get my ass kicked playing on his arcade sized MAME.
Many thanks to Sean and his wife for dinner and great company. If you don’t know Sean, check out GeekWithLaptop. He hosts a great blog there and has put out a few kick-ass resources such as a WordPress archive plugin, a WordPress photo gallery plugin, and his beta Feed Link Ads project.
What say you about all of this?
