MocoSpace is a big threat
MocoSpace is gunning to win the social networking prize in the lucrative mobile space. This is a big deal as this space will be hotly contested over the next few years.
I am a New Media Strategist at Voce Communications, board member for Legion of Tech, and host of Beer and Blog. I love the Internet, drums, socializing, and a good Scotch. I like go karts, R/C helicopters, and snowboarding. My wife, Christine, and I have two cute dogs and we all live in Portland, OR. We think Portland is awesome.

Nice - I’m glad you brought this up! I met with Justin (Siegel, the CEO) a few times when we were both living in Burlington, VT last year. We talked about how cool it would be if they tied the system into our daily lives with various data distribution systems. E.g. a killer app for the college crowd would be if they hooked it into the Registrar, to grab class schedules, homework, etc. And of course, another channel to let people know where the parties were that night… group text messaging just hasn’t been done right, this would be a good platform.
